SlabVanta AI is a pocket deal-checker and collection manager for sports card collectors, flippers and dealers. Scan a card, see what it is worth, and get a verdict judged for your goals, in seconds.

You are at a card show, a card shop, or looking at a listing. You have seconds. SlabVanta is built for that moment, and for everything that happens after you buy.
Point the camera at the card. The AI reads the player, year, set, number, parallel, serial number and grade. You check every field before anything is priced.
Enter the asking price. SlabVanta researches the market, works out your real costs, and gives a BUY, NEGOTIATE or PASS verdict with a maximum offer.
Save the card to your collection or chase list, follow its value over time, and record your profit when you sell.
Most scanners guess and move on. A wrong parallel or grade can change a price by hundreds of dollars, so ScanIQ makes you the final check.

Deal Intelligence combines the market value, your real selling costs and your own goals into one screen. The numbers are calculated by the app, never invented by the AI, and every source is linked so you can check it.

The market value is the same for everyone. What changes is the judgment:
One number that summarizes this deal against the market data. It is a heuristic, not a price prediction, and it is identical for every user.
The breakdown is shown on screen. When the data is missing or is demo data, the score reads Unavailable instead of showing a made-up number.
From the same screen you can save the deal, add the card to your chase list with your max offer as the target, mark “I bought it” to move it into your collection, draft a listing, share the analysis, or search eBay.
MyIQ is the personal side of SlabVanta. Tell it how you collect, and the dashboard, the suggestions and the verdicts adapt. Skip any question and change your answers whenever you like.

Seven optional questions: what brings you to the hobby (collector, flipper, investor, prospect hunter, set builder, dealer), your sports, favorite players and teams, cards you are chasing, your usual budget, graded or raw, and your goals.
My Collection with cost, value and performance, a value chart, realized profit on sold cards, where your value sits by player, your chase list, goal progress, and your recent scans.
SlabVanta describes how you collect, such as “Hockey Flipper”, and notes things like your graded share and average spend, drawn only from your own cards.
Ideas from your favorite players and goals, such as “3 left in your set”. These are suggestions to explore, not live listings and not price predictions. Dismiss any you do not want.
Plain-language observations like “2 chase targets are above your usual budget” or “you are close to finishing a goal”. The rules are simple and visible, not a black box.
An optional “learn from my collection” switch (off by default) lets SlabVanta notice players you collect repeatedly. It uses only the cards in the app and stays on your device.
Keep every card, what you paid, what it is worth, and what you want next in one place.

About card images. SlabVanta shows your own photos of your cards, or a photo you scanned of the exact same card. It never borrows an image of a different card, and shows a branded placeholder when it has none. A full card catalog with images needs a licensed card database, which is not connected yet.
Compares the average result of grading against selling the card raw. You enter the grading fee and your estimates, because those depend on the company and service level. It shows the average gain, the chance of a lower grade, and the top-grade chance you would need to break even. An optional AI lookup can suggest graded prices to start from.
Discover builds searches from your chase list, favorite players and budget, and opens them on eBay. It is a starting point for hunting, and it is upfront about what it does and does not do today.
Deal Radar is in demo mode. SlabVanta does not watch live listings or send listing alerts yet. That needs a licensed listings data source, and it is on the roadmap. The app says this on the screen.

An alerts inbox with a bell on the home screen, plus optional phone notifications.
Alerts come from checks you run in the app. Automatic watching of prices in the background needs the cloud service that is planned next.

Cloud accounts with sync across devices are planned. Until then, backups are your safety net.

A deal-checker is only as good as its prices, so here is exactly where SlabVanta’s values come from today and where they are going.
| Today (private beta) | Planned | |
|---|---|---|
| Market value | An AI researches the exact card on the web and reports a low, typical and high price, how many sales it found, a confidence level and its sources. These are estimates, not verified sold comps, and the app labels them that way. | Licensed price data from commercial card-pricing providers, shown next to the AI research, so you can compare. |
| Sales and “undervalued” | Recent sales shown for a card come from the same web research and are checked against the card: a different parallel, grade, print run, card number or year is left out. SlabVanta only says “Undervalued” when at least 3 matching sold sales support it, and says plainly when there are not enough. | Verified sold data and population counts from licensed sources. |
| Thin or missing data | If the AI cannot find reliable sales for the exact card, SlabVanta shows no price and says why. Rare or low-volume cards often get low confidence or no price. | Broader coverage as licensed data is added. |
| Listings | Searches open on eBay. No live listing monitoring. | Live listing monitoring and alerts from a licensed data source. |
| Your costs | Fee rates are typical defaults you can edit. They are not a live quote. | Marketplace-specific fee and shipping estimates. |
SlabVanta never guarantees a profit or predicts a future price. Verdicts, scores and estimates are decision aids. Always confirm the exact card, parallel, grade and condition, and check recent sales yourself before you buy. Nothing here is financial advice.
SlabVanta AI is in a private beta with a small group testing on iPhone. It is not in the App Store yet, and there is no public sign-up, pricing or payment at this time. The screenshots on this page show the real app with sample data and a generic sample card.
Not yet. It is in a private beta on iPhone. This site will be updated when there is a public release.
No. It gives an evidence-based estimate with its confidence and sources, and it tells you when it does not have enough data. Prices in this beta come from AI web research and are not verified sold comps.
No. It does not predict future prices or promise profit. It shows the math on the deal in front of you, using your costs and the best available market estimate.
It is designed for sports cards first, with hockey, basketball, baseball and football in mind. Rare, low-volume or heavily numbered cards are the hardest to price and may return low confidence or no price.
On your phone. Card photos and details are sent to the SlabVanta server only to identify and research the card. You can export a full backup or delete everything from inside the app.
Not yet. It drafts a title and description you can copy into eBay, and opens eBay’s listing page. Direct listing is on the roadmap.
Not yet. Today it builds searches that open on eBay and can check whether the estimated market value meets your target prices. Live listing alerts need a licensed data source.
It is free during the private beta. Pricing has not been decided.
No. SlabVanta AI is an independent product. All company, product and brand names are the property of their owners and are mentioned only to describe how the app works.
